Weed Responses to Crop Residues Management in a Summer Maize Cropland in the North China Plain

Crop residues management has great effects on weeds in croplands. To understand the weed responses to crop and impact yield, a field trial with three strategies been conducted North China Plain since 2008. Weed community composition structure across species, morphological types, life forms, levels were investigated during 2019–2020. The results show that retention significantly decreased density than no retention. Furthermore, total half Compared retention, aboveground dry matter decreased. Meanwhile, maize grain yield increased, resulting from field. Negative correlations found between of monocotyledonous weeds. These findings indicate long term under conventional tillage might be an effective agronomic practice retard growth. However, mechanism control is still needed research.
